Tonari x pastaRAMEN Collaboration
A two-part pop-up dinner series that focuses on and highlights Japanese-Italian aka Wafu-Italian cuisine. This niche culinary concept created in Tokyo many decades ago, remains a popular staple in Japan's food scene to this day. It's a unique and innovative fusion of flavors, ingredients, and cooking techniques that beautifully melds these two historically rich cultures together.
Two critically acclaimed Chefs responsible for introducing Wafu-Italian cuisine to Americans in their states have come together to collaborate on a special 5-course tasting menu that showcases their innovative culinary talents which is hosted at their respective restaurants.
Chef Robbie Felice is the co-founder & chef-partner of pastaRAMEN, the first-ever Italian ramen shop in Montclair, NJ, which is where the first part of the dinner series was held on March 4th.
Chef Katsuya Fukushima, co-founder & chef-partner of Daikaya Group, will host the second and final half of this collaboration event on April 8th at Tonari in DC.
